Mulberry is ready for Micropropagation , typically to produce disease-free, genetically uniform, and high-quality plants for agriculture and sericulture. Here’s a brief overview: 1. Explant Selection: Nodal segments, shoot tips, or leaf explants are typically used for initiation. 2. Sterilization: Explants are sterilized to eliminate microbial contamination, often with ethanol and sodium hypochlorite. After complete the intiation protocol 3. Media Composition: Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium is commonly used, supplemented with plant growth regulators like BAP (cytokinin) for shoot induction and IAA or NAA (auxins) for root formation. 4. Induction: Shoots are induced from explants and grown in controlled conditions (24-26°C, 16-hour photoperiod). 5. Subculturing: Shoots are subcultured to fresh medium to promote growth and multiplication. 6. Rooting: Rooting is induced by transferring shoots to a rooting medium containing auxins like IBA or NAA. 7. Acclimatization: Successfully rooted plantlets are acclimatized to ex vitro conditions in high humidity and gradually transferred to soil. Today we present FB891_H, an entomopathogenic fungus isolated from soil, which also has some interesting peculiarities with fertilizer function. 🤐🍄✨ This fungus has the ability to invade insects by penetrating their cuticle through enzymatic processes, and once inside, develop and spread through the tissues causing the death of the insect. FB891_H has great potential to become a #BiologicalPesticide. 👉 But is it effective for commercial treatment? Is it safe for humans and the environment? These diverse organisms serve as our wellspring of innovation, enabling us to develop biological solutions that sustainably maximize agricultural production. FB948_H is a phytopathogenic fungus. In this case, our research aims to determine if this fungus can selectively attack specific species of plants. If so, it could become a valuable tool for weed management, potentially reducing the use of chemical herbicides in agriculture. Should FB948_H demonstrate these selective capabilities and meet the necessary criteria for efficacy, safety, commercial viability, and environmental persistence, it could play a key role in developing an effective biological #herbicide against specific weeds. Our research reflects our constant commitment to biotechnological innovation and the development of environmentally friendly solutions that enhance agricultural production.
