The best innovations aren't just from big tech companies. The best innovations come from brilliant minds. Ben Choi, a 17 year old is changing lives. He created a low-cost prosthetic arm that anyone can use. This arm is special. It can be controlled by thoughts. No surgery is needed. No BCI (Brain Chip Interface) from Neuralink. Choi's invention solves two big problems: high costs and surgical risks. Here’s how it works: ↳ Non-invasive Technology: It uses EEG to read brain activity. Sensors on the head do the job. No risky surgery is involved. ↳ AI-Powered Control: An AI algorithm translates brain waves into arm movements. This makes it easy to use. ↳ Affordable Production: Most prosthetics cost a fortune. Choi's arm can be made for under $300. ↳ High Performance: The AI works with 95% accuracy. This is much better than the old standard of 73.8%. ↳ Continuous Learning: The AI adapts over time. It learns the user's unique brain patterns. Choi started this project during the COVID-19 pandemic. He used his sister's 3D printer and fishing line to build the first model. After 75 design changes, he created a strong arm. It can hold up to four tons. To train his AI, he collected brain wave data from six adult volunteers. They focused on clenching and unclenching their hands. The final algorithm is complex, with over 23,000 lines of code. Choi's work has gained attention. He won awards and impressed experts. He plans to keep improving the arm. Clinical studies with amputees are next. His AI can also help in other areas. It could control wheelchairs or assist ALS patients in communication. This achievement shows the power of young brilliant minds. He did not learn about algorithm at school- his imagination and inspiration from Star Wars (mind reading) with the strong will to do good was driving this incredible innovation! Innovations in healthcare always continue to excite me. Even more when they come from a 17 year old who wants to change the world for the better and give more people access to this technology. Love seeing young people not only getting into tech, but creating abundance for all. This image was taken at an insurance event at Generali in Milan discussing the impact of AI and how this can help our society.

The young brains nowadays instilled the algos of out of the grey matter thoughts... It's amazing how he utilized the power of EEG whereas max adults r deploying this as a tool for neuro marketing... His brilliant idea shifted a paradigm..neuralink need to have a lesson from these young innovative minds.... Most interestingly how his tenacity drove him to learn & manifests the detail of such deep learning code is just expressed as spellbound .... Greatful for sharing such a masterclass achievement Dr. Martha Boeckenfeld... He is indeed a child prodigy 🍁
