Tunisia, you’ve left us with stories that will linger long after our return. 🌍 🌍 The #Tunisia Ecosystem Week brought together our largest Dream VC delegation yet—over 70 fellows and alumni. It was a celebration of community, a week when we felt the pulse of a nation deeply committed to innovation, and where the spirit of collaboration filled every conversation and connection we made. This gathering was masterfully co-created by the phenomenal Sarah Ben Younes and her V3 Factory team, whose vision transformed an event into an experience we’ll remember for years. What stood out most wasn’t just the ecosystem's impressive framework or the ambitious policies like the Tunisian Startup Act. It was the people. The #founders we met were resilient in the truest sense—individuals who face adversity head-on and continue to push boundaries with unwavering passion. They reminded us that innovation isn’t born from ease, but from overcoming challenges with grit and heart. Startups like InstaDeep have set a new benchmark, proving that even the toughest paths can lead to record-breaking exits when guided by vision and determination. And yet, beyond the business insights, it was the human moments that stole our hearts. From the vibrant streets of #Tunis to the quiet exchanges over mint tea, the warmth and hospitality of the Tunisian people were unforgettable. It was a reminder that even in the fast-paced world of #venturecapital, it’s the small, sincere moments of connection that matter the most. What started as a network has evolved into a home. The #DreamVC alumni community has become a space where we lift each other up, share our wins, and find support when the road gets tough. Whether it was catching up with old friends at the Flat6Labs mixer or meeting our incredible media partners like Gerald Black and Benjamin Dada, every encounter reminded us of the potential that arises from genuine connection. These interactions, filled with laughter and shared insights, were the heartbeats of the retreat. 🚀 Shoutout to all of our Dream VC fellows for making this trip memorable (some of whom traveled 20+ hours to arrive in Tunis), our unbelievable co-organizer team V3 Factory (Sarah, Chehnez Hicheri, Montassar Shimi, Amine Sghaier, Yesmine Chalgham), and the outstanding donors who made TEW possible. The Tunisia Ecosystem Week was generously supported by the Special Initiative Decent Work for a Just Transition - "Invest for Jobs" mandated by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and implemented by GIZ Tunisie through its Digital Transformation Center; Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, The World Bank Group and Smart Capital; as well as Agence Française de Développement, Expertise France, Qawafel, Orange Tunisie and Madica. In partnership with Impact Partner supported by Impact Europe as part of the EU-funded Impact Together project, and The Dot.
Events like this remind us that beyond funding and frameworks, it's the human connections and shared vision that drive meaningful change. 🚀 Thank you for creating such an empowering space for founders and innovators to thrive!
