Fridah Ntarangwi - Kimathi and Toon Buddingh' led the discussin on valuing early stage companies, while Ludwig Luyeye shared his personal experiences of conducting due diligence for SMEs in DRC. We just wrapped up an insightful final session for our Conceptualizing the Fund Module, titled "Dissecting the Fund: Strategies for Success", featuring Paola Ravacchioli. Our fellows explored the intricacies of fund structures, objectives, and key elements, learning practical strategies for fund success. They engaged in comprehensive analysis and discussions on how to tailor fund narratives, align with investment objectives, and meet investor expectations. Paola, a retired Senior Investment Officer at the European Investment Bank (EIB), brought a wealth of knowledge to the table. Her expertise, particularly in fund of funds investments, has been instrumental in developing innovative initiatives like Boost Africa, the Space for Med Acceleration Programme, and the MENA Seed Accelerators Facility. Currently, she advises fund managers globally and is involved with the International Climate Finance Accelerator (ICFA), ANAVA, 2X Ignite Africa GP Sprint, and our very own program: ifada. Tomorrow, our fellows will dive into the final module of their program, where they will learn how to construct their story and present to LPs.
