Incredible how API unifiers are taking off right now. If I had to build a business with $1M ARR in less than 12 months, I'd start as an API unifier 👇 Nearly all agentic application need roughly the same set of integrations. Calendar (Google Cal, Outlook), communications (slack, teams, email), transcriptions (zoom, otter, fireflies) cloud drive, etc. I can't imagine how much code is being duplicated right now by startups each creating their own integration. There's a huge need to unify into a single API and data schema which agents can work on top of. I'm not the only one to realize this. iLife - API's for logistics Kombo - API's for future of work TravelPOrt - API's for travel Makini - API's for manufactorers Twilio - API's for voice and text messaging Recall.ai - API's for all transcription services TruePill - APIs for telehealth services and prescription fulfillment As AI coding gets better a lot of this will become commoditized or generated on the fly. Long term, the ones who succeed will build a moat but value add services on top of the data they unified.
Cool insights! I've been writing and organizing Syncari toward being an Open Data platform for creating, orchestrating, and delivering clean datasets to cooperative agent architectures. I believe this could be one future eventuality, especially given everyones' prediction that application logic and workflows will be moving to task specific agents that can work independently or together.
Will be interesting to see if the gatekeepers of the most needed data for alot of agents end up playing ball by creating APIs or adding APIs as a new revenue stream.
Can't forget about the OG API unifier: Plaid
100%! I love this! Plaid with Banking APIs as well. There should be a cloud one as well!
Great point Danny Pantuso I was thinking about this also from the standpoint of the increased accessibility for nontechnical people to build. With all the no-code solutions and AI softwares available, it can feel like you’re collecting all the Lego blocks but a missing piece that brings them all together. There’s some versions of this but lacking in the accessibility department. I can see a world where this API Unifier not only helps developers not repeat code but also becomes a part of the stack nontechnical builders use to deploy fully functioning AI Agents all with no-code. We’re living in an exciting time!
Syncari for data
Very well said.
