Introducing my new startup Doji – a fun new way to shop for fashion online. Until now, it’s never been possible to try-on clothes when shopping online – making it hard to know what looks good on you. My cofounder Jim Winkens and I needed a creative tool to explore new looks and products – so we decided to build it for ourselves. With Doji you can style yourself - create a personalized AI likeness, easily try on real products, and shop your favorite looks. As fashion-lovers with deep AI and consumer expertise, we’re uniquely equipped to build this. Jim Winkens is an ex-Google DeepMind researcher and AI engineer, and I designed frontier consumer products at Apple, Meta and YouNow Media LLC. Doji feels like the perfect culmination of our interests and skills. Sound exciting? We’re now in private beta and accepting testers for our iOS app - with select spots available. So if you’re fashion-obsessed and believe in our vision, join our waitlist at http://doji.com and let me know in the comments. Lastly, we’re building a cracked team and hiring across design, engineering and marketing/community. If you think you’d be a good fit, please apply!

AI Practitioner
3wSorry to play the party pooper, but hopefully this will help a bit. The idea of virtual try-on has been around for 20+ year, tried by many startups (including one I created 10 years ago), and none of them really worked well (the world is still buying mostly in the regular way). Make sure to study well why they all failed (hint: it's not because gen AI didn't exist), and why things are different now. Good luck, wish you a lot of success!
