Do AI tools set unrealistically high productivity expectations for clinicians? Artificial Intelligence promises to streamline tasks for clinicians, allowing more time for patient care. But this comes with a caveat….. Clinicians remain accountable for any errors made by AI systems. This dual responsibility means that while they may benefit from AI's efficiency in certain tasks, they must still adhere to rigorous standards of manual review and documentation for compliance and legal reasons. This means the adoption of AI may paradoxically increase the pressure on clinicians to achieve greater productivity, despite the unchanged burden of responsibility.
