📊 Enhancing Operational Efficiency with Real-Time Data Analysis at Lai Manufacturing Plc I’m excited to share my latest Power BI Dashboard project aimed at driving operational efficiency at Lai Manufacturing Plc! Dataset: AMDARI Project Contributor: Olive Ezetendu 🔍 Project Overview: In this project, I utilized Power BI to analyze and visualize real-time data from Lai Manufacturing Plc, aiming to tackle key challenges such as: Production Downtime: Addressed breakdowns and maintenance delays. Optimizing Processes: Streamlined manufacturing processes. Unmanageable Reports: Simplified reporting systems. Inventory Management: Enhanced raw material management. Supply Chain: Improved coordination with suppliers and distributors. 💡 Key Insights and Recommendations: ➡️ Production Efficiency: Insight: 'Material Shortage' and 'Human Error' caused 34.7% and 34.6% of downtime, respectively. Recommendation: Improve inventory management and training, enhance technical support. Insight: Downtime exceeded the 36-hour threshold, with the highest in July (67 hours). Recommendation: Reduce downtime, aiming to replicate September’s improvements. ➡️ Product Performance: Insight: Washing Machine had the least downtime (5 hours); Diesel Generator had the most (6.5 hours). Recommendation: Focus on reducing Diesel Generator downtime. ➡️ Optimizing Processes: Insight: Production peaked in August at 102.3k units. Recommendation: Analyze factors for success and address issues from lower months. Insight: Quality metrics improved; June saw notable dips. Recommendation: Investigate and address June’s issues, continue improving quality metrics. ➡️ Energy Efficiency: Insight: Highest operations in the 1021-1130 energy range. Recommendation: Enhance energy efficiency through equipment upgrades and renewable energy. ➡️ Inventory Optimization: Insight: Balanced inventory across products. Recommendation: Adjust production schedules based on demand. ➡️ Supplier Performance: Insight: Best lead times by "Adams, Murphy and Wilson"; worst by Hawkins-Miller. Recommendation: Optimize supply chain partnerships. ➡️ Employee and Product Performance: Insight: June had peak employee performance; July was lowest. Recommendation: Replicate successful strategies, support lower performers. ➡️ Supply Chain Coordination: Insight: Diesel Generators, Industrial Mixers, and Microwave Ovens have faster production cycles. Recommendation: Optimize slower product processes. 📊 What I Did: - Enhanced user experience with interactive tooltips, drill-down, and drill-through features. - Implemented strategies to overcome operational challenges and boost efficiency.
