Engaging with tech founders and the ecosystem that supports it is an exciting and inspiring part of my role. Thanks, Blackbird for an outstanding Sunrise conference in our capital. Connections made, my view widened by shared knowledge and new ventures. As I reflect and share stories with others, I find I'm talking about how Joel Little and his wife have used his experience, talent and finances to create BIG FAN, a space for young musicians to record and play music on equipment the same as his. How Sam Stubbs and a group of friends decided to go out there and help ordinary Kiwis from Sunnyvale (ultimately the whole of NZ) have dignity by creating a charity to invest and give the money back to them. Not sure about what the future looks like for NZ? It's a bright one. Go out there, take risks and if that's not for you, start connecting with the many great tech risk-takers in our city. Don't know them? Get in touch! Thanks, Phoebe Harrop, Joel Connolly, Katie Tholo, Rick Baker and Georgia Robertson. Please come back!!
