Care Transformation Collaborative of Rhode Island’s Post

In February 2024, Governor Dan McKee signed Executive Order 24-04 establishing the State Health Care System Planning (HCSP) Cabinet to develop a high-quality, affordable, equitable, accessible, culturally, and linguistically appropriate health care system capable of meeting the varied needs of all Rhode Islanders. CTC-RI Executive Director, Debra Hurwitz, is on the Advisory Council for this Cabinet. Recently, EOHHS released their Health Care System Planning 2024 Foundational Report. It compiles input from a vibrant stakeholder process, including the participation of representatives from 11 state agencies and over 40 provider organizations, businesses, labor organizations, current health care planning tables, and community-based groups. It provides baseline data on the Rhode Island health care system, including a summary of community need and leading population health indicators; lays out initial information on the sectors and cross-cutting issues at the heart of the proposed Health Care System Plan; and provides recommendations created by the vibrant public/private process that EOHHS began in March of 2024. Additional Cabinet work is forthcoming. https://lnkd.in/eh5yGckP
