Charlotta Herte’s Post

These days, good to be reminded of the fact that corporations continue to take the lead in the necessary transition to a more sustainable society. Thanks Karin Lepasoon (was Avasalu) for the update 🌱

The geopolitical situation affecting the speed of the energy transition is a hot topic at Davos. A key concern is that delays in grid, renewables, and low-carbon energy expansion and adoption could impact global targets, such as doubling energy efficiency and tripling renewables by 2030 and the decarbonization journey onwards from there. Would you agree there's hope? Across all sectors, we see a strong commitment to becoming more energy-efficient and decarbonizing -not only because it’s the right thing to do for the planet, but because it makes business sense. For this to succeed, access to clean energy needs to be reliable, affordable, and timely. At ABB, we're up for the challenge of accelerating the energy transition. We're helping utilities expand and strengthen grids, making them smarter and more resilient, so they can integrate cleaner energies. At the same time, we're supporting customers across manufacturing, transportation, and buildings in meeting their decarbonization goals.    How do you think we could keep momentum? #EngineeredtoOutrun
