The Tri-County Biological Science Center is one step closer to opening its doors Last Week, Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester County leaders joined Contract Construction to celebrate the placement of the final beam on top of the forthcoming Tri-County Biological Science Center, the first regional collaboration on DNA testing in state history. This is a significant construction milestone for the project, which will reduce DNA processing times by streamlining the local forensic analysis process. Once completed, the facility will provide examination of physical evidence for law enforcement agencies, assist in the identification of bodily remains for coroners’ offices, and deliver expert testimony to the judicial system.
