The Supported Employment Department at Reaching Maximum Independence (RMI) had the incredible opportunity to attend this impactful event, supporting our Texas Workforce Commission customers on their journey to meaningful employment. How important is your company's brand? 🔹Three candidates submitted for the role. 🔹Two candidates did not progress to offer stage. 🔹One candidate got the job. At the end of the recruitment process, we request feedback from all candidates (successful or not) via our third-party review platform Sourcr. We use all feedback to continuously improve our candidate and client experience. At the time of providing this feedback, each candidate knew whether they'd been successful or not. It's hard to tell who the successful candidate was - because they all had a positive experience! Service like this is why Mike Quigley earned his Lead Consultant title at Valrose. Here’s the verdict: 91% said that they would only interview if the role looks exceptional. 🔍My advice to candidates that are searching? Stay alert. This is a HR/Recruitment story experienced by many employees, including myself, and possibly you… A man died and was given a chance to see both heaven and hëll before making a decision on where he wanted to go. The man chose to go to hēlI first, where he found elaborate scenery, mountains of fancy foods and drinks, and numerous friends. He had a blast. He then took a trip to heaven, and found peace, tranquility, friends and family, but nothing like the previous place. Given the opportunity to choose, he picked to go to hêll thinking it will be a party every day. When the elevator doors opened, the man felt intense heat, saw fire everywhere, and people screaming and wailing. It was nothing like what it was when he visited. He asked “Where are all the great things I saw and was promised?” The devil looked at him and said, "That was the recruitment fair, this is the reality." Some companies should be given awards for this; fantastic employer brand campaigns that lure in unsuspecting employees who join and become embittered. Are there ways to identify them before you join? Are there questions you can ask and answers that raise red flags? I believe there. I also believe that sneaky recruiters and managers can give perfect answer. What do you think?
