Azerbaijan's Deputy Energy Minister and COP29 Chief Executive Director Elnur Soltanov told NE Global in an interview earlier that while #Azerbaijan pushed the #ClimateAction agenda forward as #COP29 host country, at the same time “Azerbaijan has been involved is greening up its economy, including green #energy transition. On November 12, at the 9th Meeting of the Ministerial/Steering Committee on establishing a “Green Energy” Corridor between Azerbaijan, #Georgia, #Romania, and #Hungary, held within the COP29 framework, Italy’s CESI presented the preliminary report of the Feasibility Study for the “Green Energy Corridor” project. SORRY if we disagree, GOWA is focused on moving down south to sink. Why are we saying this? The facts are everywhere, doesn't require an intelligent brain to figure them out. Offshore farms are complicated, riskier, and expensive. If anyone can figure out deeply how dumb is the workability of a Windmill Turbine, won't be duplicating this thing because this is a wrong machine for Wind Energy Generation. The Betz law philosophy used popularly by the industry for engineering, is not helping, it's acting as a liability. We will give a hint Try to figure out that there are four (4) behaviors of wind, and also figure out what behavior Betz Law belongs to. if you can't find and digest it, the industry will become a forever victim of reckless beliefs. We’ve been saying consistently that Windmill Turbine is a “DISASTER” We must understand the critical details of the inborn unfixable problems. 1. Onshore Windmill Turbine Was A Bad Start. Was invented for milling centuries ago but repurposed for energy generation, a critical job unfit to perform. A wrong machine can never produce a better result. 2. Offshore Windmill Farm Makes It Even Worst Going offshore with a problematic machine built at a more problematic offshore site exacerbates the process from bad to worse: far more expensive, difficult to build, maintain, and riskier. The result? Problem + + + 3. The Windmill Turbine is designed weak, and built to collapse. Windmill Engineers can hardly figure out that the "Design Anatomy of Windmill Turbine" is geometrically suicidal - helpless. It breaks while operating at normal winds, and can't survive a violent windspeed above 120MPH head-on. 4. Offshore Windmill Farms are Jacking up the Tariffs/ Pricing of electricity. Policymakers are buying the expensive proposal from wind farm developers. Innocent consumers pay the painful high cost. 5. Destroys The Environment on Land And Sea. Suffers from NIMBYsm. Famous complaints, it kills birds and sea mammals. Offshore Windmill farms massively destroy the Marine domains. Hurricanes can destroy offshore wind structures into pieces at sea - Hazardous! In the Vineyard case, it self-destructs at normal wind. 6. All Stakeholders Are Losers. The windmill industry has been losing billions. Governments suffer from excessive subsidies, consumers are trapped with expensive bills while carbon is rising. There is no winner. DO WE HAVE AN ALTERNATIVE?. . .Yup! Our 30MW Rollie Wind Turbine has solved all the listed problems. The components are simple to manufacture and easy to assemble. The turbine is quick to build low installations 60-80M tall only, (Onshore). Occupies 1Ha. of land area per 30MW turbine. Cheap to maintain. Can survive 300KPH Super Typhoon. Rollie Wind 30MW Turbine can be built at US$ 2.0 - 2.2M Per MW Far cheaper than Onshore and Offshore Windmill Farms. Join us, Let's build a 30MW Turbine Pilot. We are a partner, not a competitor Let’s do it the right way.
🗺️ The Global Offshore Wind Alliance (GOWA) is a future-focused coalition of governments and leading companies, who share the same high ambition and clear determination for accelerating offshore wind deployment in the energy mix. At COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, Corio’s Head of Corporate Affairs, Will Henley, spoke at a specially convened GOWA Ministerial Dialogue hosted at the Global Renewables Hub. “GOWA’s ambition is to achieve at least 380 GW⚡ of offshore wind power globally by 2030. This target can be achieved by industry and the public sector working closely together to help reduce the cost of capital, expand sources of finance and de-risk projects by addressing bottlenecks in permitting, grids and the supply chain,” he says. GOWA was first launched two years ago at COP27 by the Government of Denmark, the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC). The alliance now comprises some 30 members including national governments and sub-national governments. With national delegations at COP29 working on updating and upgrading their national climate plans – known as Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCS) – attention is firmly focused on how offshore wind can provide a pathway to decarbonisation. This was the perfect time for GOWA to bring together governments to exchange views on the way forward. We were delighted to hear from leading ministers such as Ireland’s Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications Eamon Ryan, Colombia’s Minister of Mines and Energy Omar Andrés Camacho Morales and Belgium’s Minister of Energy Tinne Van der Straeten among many others. A new NDC Guidance Tool - supported and endorsed by GOWA - was also launched by Ocean Conservancy during COP29. Thank you to the whole GOWA team including GWEC CEO Ben Backwell, Deputy CEO Rebecca Williams, GOWA Interim Head of Secretariat Amisha Patel, IRENA Team lead Simon Benmarraze, and Danish Energy Agency Denmark Director General Kristoffer Böttzauw. #GOWA #OffshoreWind #RenewableEnergy #ClimateAction #EnergyTransition #3xRE #ClimateChangeMitigation #COP29

It was great to be part of convening the 9th Energy Transition Council (ETC) Ministerial along with ETC Secretariat colleagues, where global leaders remained united to accelerate the clean energy transition. 🌎 The Ministerial focused on opportunities and challenges to decarbonize the power sector by 2030, efforts by partners and countries to be part of achieving the global goal of tripling renewable energy capacity and doubling energy efficiency, and mechanisms for mobilizing finance and support for developing countries to accelerate their #energyaccess and #energytransition ambitions. It is truly inspiring and motivating to witness the continued collaboration and commitment to a low-carbon economy that's inclusive for all from ETC partners and countries! Also excited for the new partnerships with the US’s Net Zero World (NZW) and Clean Energy Solutions Center (CESC) initiatives, and Climate Emergency Collaboration Group (CECG) for further cooperation on activities and expertise sharing. I’m looking forward to continuing our support for ETC partner countries, driving #climateaction and innovation for the #energytransition for a sustainable future for this and future generations, and the planned ETCs 10th Ministerial at COP29 Baku, Azerbaijan!
