Code G2211 was created to recognize the importance of trust and longitudinal relationships in healthcare. Trust moves the needle. Why are carriers “bundling” these payments as if trust should be taken for granted?

#Value innovation and delivery have to be based on #trust. To some extent #PCP may be trusted most because of the personalities and value systems that are drawn to this specialty. At the same time, assessment of trust by individuals presumably is driven mostly by #trustworthiness demonstrated empirically in an interpersonal #relationship over time that almost by definition is grounded in #shared understanding of lived experience. We need new business models and best practices that enable #healthcare to be continually #situated idiosyncratically in the place, pace, and purpose of a patient’s life. This potential extends far beyond what is formally recognized as healthcare and certainly beyond the institutional instantiations of sick care.
