Creative block? These tips are perfect for my fellow creative strategists, copywriters, and beyond. Thanks for the tips Laura Charlton!
🛑 Let's talk about it: the dreaded creative block... Once you're in it's clutches, how do you even begin to move past it? Creative block, or writer's block, is so debilitating. In fact, any type of block is. ✋ Aaand that's why I've taken some time to compile a few thoughts on how you can move past it in my latest piece - because I, too, am feeling a little blocked at the minute. Check it out below, I've heard it pairs well with a cup of tea or coffee ☕️😉 #Newsletter #WritersBlock #Creative #Substack

This week, we talk about relevance. Regular readers may have noticed that the concept of relevance comes up a lot in my writing! In a world where the only truly scare resource is our time, cutting through the noise and grabbing consumers' attention is critical. Sure you can be loud or flashy or whatever, but by far the most effective way to capture consumers' attention, is by being relevant! https://lnkd.in/eg_9QKPa

Many of our clients are fabulous storytellers. Words flow from their mouths, giving us everything we need to bring their experiences to life. “Why do they not write their own content then Andy?” I hear you ask. Well, my friends, there is a world of difference between unloading on a 1-hour Teams call once a month, and articulating those ramblings into words. And if you want your target buyer to actually stop and consume said stories, the difference is greater still. That’s where great writers step in. “But wait, you don’t just need to be a great writer, you also need to determine which parts of the conversation to use for maximum impact.” Down there for dancing my comrades, that’s our jam too. If you’re the kind of person who draws in the masses with an enthusiastically told story at a local soiree, but can’t write a sentence without chewing the pen or snapping it in half… We might need to have a little chat. Especially if you want to be seen online in 2025. Stay Unconventionall.

James Bond’s favourite drink has just 2 ingredients: 🍸 Gin/vodka & vermouth The proportions may vary but let me share my recipe with you: Combine creativity and strategy in equal amounts. Today, let me talk about ingredient no. 1 – Creativity. I gave a taste during the Free Creative Writing session last week. We mixed a good amount of: ✳️ Visualization to boost positive energy, ✳️ Writing a creative story to a photo prompt featuring a snail looking into a pond, and ✳️ Brainstorming on how to use the photo as an inspiration for a LI prompt. Farfetched? Hardly, because you can use the photo as an inspiration to relate to professional issues (let’s say entering a new market), or personal matters (such as being both excited and anxious to start a new project). The creative sessions are NOT recorded. It's more important for everyone to feel comfortable. Sharing written pieces and writing difficulties requires an atmosphere of trust. ❗️ If you’d like to use your creativity to make post-writing easier for you, check out the details of the course (link in the 1st comment). The course starts Monday, July 8th, so you have only this week to join. As Ivana said: „The creative sessions helped me a lot, just as sharing my experiences and insecurities because it is easier when you see that others are struggling with the same issues as yourself.” PS. Do you like your drinks shaken or stirred? #writing #litranslators #talent

Sensory language engages your readers by appealing to their senses ・sight ・smell ・touch ・sound .Instead of saying “This dessert is good,” say “Enjoy the rich, creamy texture of our chocolate mousse melting in your mouth.” Sensory details make your copy more vivid and memorable. They help readers experience your message, making it more impactful. By incorporating sensory words, you draw readers into your content, encouraging them to connect with and act on your message

Vinyl sounds richer than CD 🎻 Mirrors make rooms more spacious🪞 Your favourite pen boosts productivity 🖋️ Despite the double-blind MUSHRA tests and research papers that say otherwise, we’re still convinced that vinyl sounds better. The nostalgic, tactile experience is just that powerful. Clearly we’re easily and deeply influenced by our perceptions, which in turn construct our realities. If the shape of chocolate can heavily impact our perception (round tastes sweeter than square apparently), then it’s no surprise that writing has a profound effect on us. Capturing and maintaining the right tone of voice that compels audiences to act is a prime example. The way you tell the world about your service or solution makes all the difference when trying to put it on the map.📍 Most importantly - can you think of any other good perception vs reality examples? Stick them in the comments when you do. #digitalmarketing #sales #writing
