It competes globally on 18×12.5/18×13 Forgeline one piece forged monoblock SS1R-GT wheels finished in Gloss Black. Pratt Miller Engineering worked with the team at Forgeline Motorsports for years to develop an application-specific version of Forgeline’s center-locking SS1R-GT wheel that was engineered to deliver optimized performance metrics (in terms of mass, deflection, strength, durability, and aerodynamics) specifically for the new Corvette GT3.R. Porsche 356 B 1600 GS Carrera GTL Abarth Coupe (Type 756) To remain competitive in racing, Porsche looked for outside help to build 20 lightweight aluminum bodies for the standard 356B chassis. Porsche chose to work with Carlo Abarth who previously assisted as a middleman almost 10 years back in the Porsche-Cisitalia project. Carlo enlisted the help of Franco Scaglione for design, and Rocco Motto to build the new lightweight bodies. When the first GTL (L for lightweight) arrived in Germany a few modifications need to be made. The front wing openings had to be enlarged to allow full steering lock and the cars overheating was cured by adding additional vents to the engine lid. The Carrera GTL’s were fitted with type 692/3 and 692/3A variations of the 4 cam engine. Three power levels were offered for the Carrera GTL: -           115hp with standard exhaust -           128hp with sports exhaust -           135hp with Sebring exhaust Adjustment of the pair of Weber 40 DCM 2 twin-choke carburettors was specific for each exhaust variant. #porsche #classiccars #automotivehistoric #classiccars #passion

Looks like everyone missed a major release! Yesterday, McLaren unveiled its newest masterpiece – the McLaren W1, the true successor to the legendary F1 and P1 models. 🔥 Under the Hood: • A 4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 producing 1260 hp • Hybrid system adding an extra 342 hp • 0 to 200 km/h in just 5.8 seconds • Top speed limited but still hitting 350 km/h! ⚙️ Inspired by Motorsport: The W1 is built around a super-strong, rigid monocoque made from composite materials, just like those used in Formula 1 and WEC. This helped achieve a weight of just 1399 kg.
