We built an automated Counter Drone Turret that works. The future of counter drone warfare is not EW (Electronic Warfare or jamming) its kinetic. Onboard compute, RF frequency hopping, and fiber optic controlled drones means that the only way to stop drones will be to destroy them. In tests we were able to accurately detect and destroy fast moving FPV drones. Stay tuned for some amazing things we're working on.

Most companies that use laser range finders switch to radar very quickly after field tests. You can't reliably laser a target darting around whilst leading the target with a gun if the laser is comounted with the gun. Basic marksmanship principles.

I am glad this works and exists but I still believe there is or will increasingly be a big place for magically hacking drones through their wireless modules and communications channels.

Disagree with them about “not EW.” For starters, any defense against drones will need to be layered and use a variety of tools. Secondly, if you see the drone, it probably saw you first and without EW probably reported your position back to bad people who can bring a whole lot more firepower down on your head, even if it’s an autonomous drone.

Would love to test your RWS against our red team fleet :)

Cameron, can you share by what means the system is identifying drone and then tracking to allow kenetic hit? What sensor type(s)? Thanks.

How does it identify a target? Does it kill birds, small aircraft?

You will definitely benefit from switching to or adding #thermalimaging

I love kinetics. EW is a cat and mouse game. It’s very hard to overcome a bullet ripping through a flight controller.
