Mini-Circuits’ ZK-MSP4TA-18 is an ultra-reliable electro-mechanical SP4T switch operating over a wide bandwidth from DC to 18 GHz with high isolation and low insertion loss. The switch is absorptive and fail-safe with a break-before-make configuration and lifetime of 10 million switching cycles when used within the noted specifications. All RF connections (SMA female) are conveniently grouped together on the front of the switch. Simple control via TTL voltage levels allows integration with a wide range of microcontrollers, embedded or custom systems without the additional complexity of USB or Ethernet control from a PC. The 4 TTL control inputs and +24V DC supply connections are accessed through a single 8-pin PCB header connector on the rear of the switch. LED indicators are also included on the rear of the package to give a convenient visual read out of the current switch state. LED light-pipe connectors allow the indicators to be routed to wherever they are needed when the switch is integrated into a final product. Custom Microwave, Inc. (CMi), a Vitesse Systems company, is pleased to announce a new product release that addresses the Emerging mmWave Threat to existing defense networks. Our newly developed Broadband Horn Antenna provides superior frequency bandwidth covering 18-55 GHz from a single aperture. The device operates under multiple kilowatts of power and provides for instantaneous polarization control. The dual feed configuration coupled with an orthomode transducer (OMT) also provides better than 1.5:1 VSWR and improved gain across the operating bandwidth. CMi will be attending the AOC Conference in National Harbor, MD Dec 11-12 to introduce this new product capability to system integrators and engaging in discussions on mmWave counter-threat technologies. In today’s digital age, protecting sensitive electronics and the integrity of your communications is paramount. Electromagnetic and radio frequency interference (EMI-RFI) can disrupt the performance of sensitive communications systems and devices, potentially compromising confidential data. New EMI-RFI/STC shielding door and frame assemblies with adjustable seals from ASSA ABLOY absorb radio and electromagnetic waves, and block sound transmission more efficiently and effectively. Ideal for medical facilities, data centers, government and military installations, and more, this specialty door solution is essential for environments where data integrity, equipment performance, and acoustic attenuation are critical. The 7.62mm 👈 and 👉Integrated Circuits Before NATO switched their favourite round caliber for small arms to 5.56mm, the 7.62mm was king. If I’ve got it right, the today’s flavour is 6.8mm? I am surely not a historian, and not skilled in ammunition details at all. However, after reading a number of books about the Integrated Circuits history, that unexpected coincidence looks really striking: how come the distance between the 2 rows of terminals became 7.62mm for standard ICs? It could have been chosen any other size. Still, it’s similar to standard cigarettes diameter – see it in the video: https://lnkd.in/exKdvjWi , or pencils, or the AK-47 round caliber. And the list goes on. Forgot to mention it in the video, but there is a mystery to me why the Russians chose that particular caliber size, which is exactly 0.3” in the Imperial System? It seems that they already had a 7.62mm caliber in use, even back in the 19th Century. Something few people know today is that the Russian electronics industry – at the political pressure probably – tried to manufacture for almost a decade IC packages in metric, with exactly 2.5mm pitch. They simply didn’t want to buy the very specialized US equipment in inches… To sell these abroad proved a complete failure, nobody wanted to buy them, because the circuits won’t fit the standard IC sockets anymore, even for short packages!!! My favourite book about the ICs birth and early evolution is “History of semiconductor Engineering” by Bo Lojek, who personally knew and worked with some of the “traitorous eight”. It’s tedious to look for such peculiar info, but there is no mention about ICs 0.3” genesis anywhere in the otherwise well documented ICs evolution. That specific size was used by all reputed companies not only for TTL, but for their analog ICs too, from TI to Fairchild, RCA or National Semiconductor. Thanks and have a nice day guys!
