Last week I jumped into a webinar held by CPA Australia to discuss the FY24-25 Federal Budget. Its a lackluster budget, with 68% of respondents on a CPA pole who believe the cost of living support was not substantial enough. As the Commercial Finance Manager of a smaller business, the support is also incredibly underwhelming. What was everyone's key takeaways from this budget? Both personally and professionally?
The 2024-25 Federal Budget offers cost of living relief to a wide range of stakeholders and funds the government’s flagship Future Made in Australia agenda, but contains little in the way of support for small business. Read on for CPA Australia’s 5 key takeaways 👉 https://bit.ly/4aj4fxR

Sharing a snapshot below of an upcoming insights piece: Business and investment communities are gearing up for the Scottish Budget next week, where the government will set out its stall for the coming year. Improved investment conditions are top of the wish list for the country’s growth-driving sectors. The First Minister has said the Budget will ‘create conditions for every person in Scotland to thrive,’ which is encouraging – we know the pursuit of growth simply for growth’s sake risks leaving some behind and, paradoxically, creating unsustainable economic conditions. The government’s vision of a thriving Scotland (which is shared by every sector of our economy and society) will only become a reality through action-oriented conversation and proactive collaboration between the public, private, third and academic sectors. It is only through that collaborative approach that the government can use the levers at its disposal, including the Budget, in a way that secures Scotland’s footing on a path to sustainable, inclusive growth. #ScottishBudget; #ScotlandBusiness; #InvestInScotland; #EconomicGrowth;#ScotlandEconomy
