Telecommunications Leader and Futurist

The future of telecom is AI-native... There is a future where AI is not just a feature of telecommunications, but the very foundation upon which it is built. This “AI-native” approach represents a paradigm shift, moving away from AI as an add-on to a core, fundamental element integrated across the entire system. Here's why... 6G will be defined by AI: The next generation of cellular technology will be inherently AI-driven, with AI embedded in everything from hardware and software to protocols and chipsets. Optimization and Re-optimization: AI will allow for continuous network optimization, adapting to constantly changing environmental factors like weather and building interference. This ensures optimal performance even with the increased density of connections expected in a 6G world. From Concept to Reality: While 5G introduced the concept of network slicing, 6G will see it fully realized. AI will enable granular slicing down to individual users, opening up significant monetization opportunities. New Revenue Streams: The convergence of AI and RAN infrastructure will allow telcos to host AI applications alongside core network functions. This maximizes resource utilization and generates new revenue streams. Collaboration is Key: Achieving this AI-native future requires a collaborative effort from various stakeholders, including vendors and technology providers, to fully integrate and leverage AI capabilities across the entire ecosystem. In essence, we will see a future where AI is woven into the fabric of telecommunications, driving efficiency, enabling new possibilities, and shaping the way we connect and interact with the world around us. #5g #6g #future #genai #ai
