Minze Health Secures $5.3m to Advance Prescription Digital Therapeutics Minze Health, a Belgium-based health tech startup pioneering digital health solutions in the field of urology, has secured $5.3 million to advance prescription digital therapeutics (PDTs) for urinary dysfunction patients. Co-founded in 2015 by Gilles Tas, Josef Sageder, and Jiri Vermeulen, the company is known for its digital health system focusing on pelvic health, continence care, and urology. Its platform helps urologists diagnose, treat, and monitor patients with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUT). #AMCDiscoveries Choice of wound incision for graft extraction during minimally invasive donor nephrectomy largely depends on individual surgeon preference and local practice within a transplant center. However, there is paucity of data comparing the short-term outcomes between the different incision sites. Researchers from Singapore General Hospital (SGH) conducted an electronic literature search on PubMed, EMBASE and Scopus for studies comparing ≥2 graft extraction incisions in laparoscopic or robotic donor nephrectomy with ≥10 patients per arm. Most commonly utilised, when compared, Iliac and Pfannenstiel incisions yielded similar outcomes besides marginally lower LOS for the former. Their findings concluded that six different incisions for graft retrieval are broadly comparable across most short-term outcomes although long-term outcomes remain to be elucidated.
