The Government has introduced amendments to s99FA(1) of its financial advice ‘tranche 1’ bill and we expect the bill and amendments will pass parliament today. These amendments will provide superannuation trustees greater legal certainty when deducting #financialadvice fees on behalf of #superannuation consumers and will reduce the regulatory impact on advisers and advice businesses.

The FSC welcomes the Government's decision to amend s99FA(1) of its financial advice ‘tranche 1’ bill. These amendments will provide superannuation trustees greater legal certainty when deducting #financialadvice fees on behalf of #superannuation consumers and will reduce the regulatory impact on advisers and advice businesses. The Assistant Treasurer has continued to consult with industry and the FSC recognises the collaborative approach he has taken to work towards the common goal of making financial advice more affordable and accessible for consumers.
