I am delighted to announce my successful completion of the "Introduction to OSINT Techniques" training program, facilitated by the Centre for Information Resilience (CIR) in collaboration with the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) - ኢሰመኮ. This rigorous 15-week course has significantly enhanced my proficiency in Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), equipping me with vital skills crucial for conducting human rights investigations and conflict analysis. The training content covered the fundamentals of OSINT, best practices of data handling, preservation, and archiving in line with the Berkeley Protocol, OSINT methodologies, workflows, and source validation techniques. I also learned visual verification methods, including metadata analysis, geolocation, chronolocation, social media analysis, advanced internet search techniques, satellite imagery acquisition and analysis, and live mapping of dynamic events. These skills have empowered me to apply OSINT methodologies effectively in real-world human rights investigation. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Centre for Information Resilience, Daniel A., Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) - ኢሰመኮ, and Mizanie Tadesse (PhD) for this invaluable learning experience. My sincere appreciation also goes to the instructors Ionuţ-Vlad Şutea, Stephanie Droit and Kiria for their exceptional guidance and support. #OSINT #HumanRights #Geolocation #Chronolocation #ConflictAnalysis #CentreForInformationResilience #EthiopianHumanRightsCommission
