Record Asset Management has announced plans to launch a shariah-compliant deep-tier supply chain finance fund in partnership with OWI Group and Khalij Group. RAM, a European subsidiary of UK-headquartered asset management firm Record Financial Group, says it will manage the fund with support from Islamic investment and advisory firm Khalij, also based in the UK.

Part one: The Basics In #accounting, an asset is any valuable tangible/ intangible good or service, with a long or short life span, which belongs to a physical or moral person. Asset managers in the financial markets are therefore the moral entities, to whom investors entrust their liquidity when they are interested in investing in securities on a stock exchange. The investments made are transcribed into their balance sheets as financial assets.
