Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s Post

After 40 years of service to the Atlanta Fed and the Federal Reserve System, Andre Anderson embarks on a new journey today. It’s the last day at the Atlanta Fed for André, who has served as our first vice president and chief operating officer since July 2018. The exemplary career of this self-described skinny kid from Mobile, Alabama, was highlighted by achievements such as rehabilitating a troubled Branch office early in his career, deftly guiding the Atlanta Fed’s banking Supervision and Regulation unit through the global financial crisis, and being appointed the first African American first vice president in the Federal Reserve System. It is with immense gratitude that we at the Atlanta Fed wish André the best. Thank you for everything, and enjoy retirement!
