What can system phase transitions tell us about how a driver or vehicle are performing? And what "system phases" are relevant for the subject under analysis? Thresholds and outlier analysis aren't going to be enough with the explosion in the quantity and frequency of sensors in modern motorsports. RAiCE is being trained to identify when phase transitions occur nominally - and more importantly when they don't. So you don't find them the hard way. #RAICE2Win #AutoRacing #MotorcycleRacing #MotorsportTechnology #MotorsportInnovation #DataInnovation #Motorsport

In the latest episode of Driven By Simulation, find out how Ansys technology is keeping the bumper-to-bumper action of #NASCAR as safe as possible by testing thousands of on-track outcomes for the Next-Gen car in the virtual world, before the race begins! When you have as many as 40 cars tailgating each other at 200 miles per hour for more than 200 laps, it only takes a split second and a single misstep to cause a dangerous pile up. Undoubtedly stock car racing is dangerous — which is why NASCAR goes to extremes to ensure drivers will walk away safely from a #crash. Simulation enables the racing organization to continuously evolve its Next Gen vehicle designs to mitigate risk on the track. Got 5 minutes? Discover how simulation revolutionizes motorsports and automotive engineering! Listen here: https://lnkd.in/emb9v8BZ Simulation in motorsports is incredibly powerful. From Gran Turismo’s portrayal of Jan Mardenborough’s journey from gamer to pro driver to F1’s closely guarded simulators—simulation technology is at the core of success. Even Max Verstappen finds it hard to pull himself away from the sim the night before a race. But it doesn’t stop there. Simulation plays a key role in race strategy development, allowing teams to visualize potential outcomes and it all begins with car engineering, where innovative minds build digital twins to test and refine their concepts. In this week’s 5 Minutes with George Howson, F1 Chronicle, we explore the role of simulation in motorsports. Check it out! #Motorsports #Innovation #Technology #F1 #Innovation #racing #iracing Marley Lumbard Ginni Saraswati Geoff Koch

Data is the new fuel for motorsports. When I started in the industry, tuning a car meant trial and error. Now, we can analyze everything—from tyre temperatures to lap-by-lap telemetry. This data revolution is even bigger in sim racing, where every millisecond is recorded and reviewed. (thanks to groundbreaking technology from RaceRoom Entertainment GmbH) At a recent event, a driver improved his lap times dramatically just by studying his data from the simulator. It’s incredible to see how technology is changing the way we approach racing. And it’s only going to get better.

Day 4 of LIME2.0 by United Motorsports Academy We delved into the world of Simulation with Mr. Rex Keen, who introduced us to the softwares by ChassisSim Technologies and MoTeC Pty Ltd. We learnt how to simulate different conditions affecting different cars in different tracks. We compared how the lap times differ for V8 supercars, to other open wheel cars like F2 and F3. These sessions gave insights on how the cars are tested in development phase and how they can collect data to simulate and prepare for the real race days.

How an exquisite supercar transforms into an LT (longtail) for better grip? Isnt't it the best you have seen so far? Read full article - in your language - at: https://lnkd.in/d77wDYGC McLaren has been synonymous with aerodynamic innovation and excellence since its very beginnings, with Bruce McLaren himself always determined to push for any advantage offered by new ways of managing airflow to balance lift and drag in the most efficient way possible. The 1967 championship-winning McLaren M6A Can-Am racecar employed ground effect aerodynamics with great success and while it was another decade before the technology came to Formula 1 – and the 1990s before the McLaren F1 showed how effective it could be in a road car – ground effect remains a significant advantage as part of an overall aerodynamic package for those car makers who can master it. #mclaren #w1 #granturismo #cuoresportivo
