3 years at Google today! Where does time go?! I've never posted on LinkedIn, but this felt like it warranted some reflection. It feels like just yesterday I was jumping around wide eyed and eager to dip my toes in all the things at all the amazing companies I have been fortunate to be a part of in my career. At the time, 3 years in the same place seemed impossible. Today, 3 years seems like just scratching the surface! Getting the opportunity to contribute to a company like Google always felt like a far fetched dream. It’s not lost on me how lucky I am! The people at this company have shaped me in to who I am today during what I would in hindsight define as my most transformative years of development (both personally & professionally). The people behind me at Google have helped me see and find the best version of myself. It’s a feeling I hope all mid to late 20 year olds get to experience (and if you’re older than that, a feeling I hope you reflect on). It’s really amazing what knowing people believe in you can do for you. The reason this has been possible? Incredible leaders. Shoutout to some of the most influential people I’ve been supported by along the way (David Tully, Mareeh H., Raychel Schumacher Dobbie, Anders Mortensen, Jitendra Kumar, Amanda R., Adam R., Sheena Arora). There are no words for the immense gratitude I feel for having crossed paths with each of you. Thank you for believing in me enough to allow me to truly begin to believe in myself. In these last 3 years you all have helped me recognize my super powers and that alone has changed how I approach each day. Also, shout out to all the amazing clients, peers, managers, directors, etc. I have gotten to work with at Google and in past roles. Whether you know it or not, each and every one of you has left an impact on me (Jim Hammerel, you stick out to me as an example because THANK YOU for being my first Google client call when I knew nothing about paid media at all, I think it all worked out, right?!). You’ve all challenged me, celebrated me, and helped me grow. To the easy people, the tricky ones, and all of you in between, thank you. It’s never been more clear to me that the most important resource in life is the people around you. Thank you all for playing a role in getting me where I am today (because I guarantee you did). Here’s to what I hope to be many more years together, Google! To continuing to show up for myself and for the people around me and to pay forward all the lessons I’ve been so fortunate to learn through everyone I've met! We are just getting started!

Avanade has appointed Megawaty Khie as its new Regional Managing Director for Southeast Asia, effective immediately. In this role, she will drive the growth of the company’s business and strengthen Avanade’s position as the leading Microsoft solutions provider in the region, including Malaysia. Megawaty will also lead a team of digital professionals across Southeast Asia, combining global scale with local expertise to create value for customers and communities in the AI era. She joins Avanade from Google, where she led Channels and Strategic Partnerships for Google Cloud in Southeast Asia (source: Business Today).

🎉 New Leadership at Google India: A Big Step Forward! 🇮🇳 Google has made an exciting announcement! Preeti Lobana is now the new head of its India business. She fills the spot left by Sanjay Gupta, who got promoted to president of Asia-Pacific last July. Preeti was previously the vice president of advertising technology at Google. This change comes at a crucial time as Google is pushing its AI products in India, even with growing competition in the digital market. After 9 years at Google, I have decided to move on. What a journey it has been! Joining Google as a young professional, I was dazzled by everything that the company offered. Reflecting back, here are my top learnings from the past decade: 🌟 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 - When I attended my first Google TGIF back in 2015, I was blown away by the openness and transparency with which Sundar and Sergey shared about Google products. I have met some extraordinary leaders who coached, mentored, and taught me everything I know about business. 👩🏫 𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗼𝗼 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 - I’ve enjoyed teaching since the age of 10 (my siblings can vouch for it). As I grew up, I found computers more interesting and studied Computer Science Engineering. Through a 20% project, I was able to explore my passion for training, which eventually led me to move from Gurgaon to Singapore, into an Enablement role that I thoroughly enjoyed. 🙏 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 - My mother once taught me a lesson in humility that loosely translates to, “The more fruitful a tree, the lower it bows”. One of Google Cloud guiding principles is Humility and I was reminded of that every day. 🗣️ 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗨𝗽 - I was given the opportunity to represent the company at every possible platform and truly understood courage and the power of a strong voice. 📚 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 - Islam teaches us that when a person dies, one of the 3 things they leave behind is beneficial knowledge. It's amazing to be part of an organisation whose mission aligns with your own beliefs. 👥 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗡𝗲𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 - I was referred for roles/projects by people I have collaborated with in the past. Endorsement goes a long way in building credibility before you even step into a room. I am incredibly grateful for my time at Google and the learning journey. Time for a new chapter! 🎉 Celebrating 10 Years at Google! 🎉 On June 1st, 2014, I took a leap of faith and joined Google, never imagining it would become the longest and most rewarding chapter of my career so far. Here's a highlight of my dynamic decade in numbers: ⁣ •𝟑 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬: I’ve had the privilege of exploring various roles in Google Ads, Google Play, and YouTube (still feeling like a Noogler sometimes, though 😅).⁣ •𝟏𝟑 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 (𝟔 𝐢𝐧 𝟐 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬!): Changes are not uncommon in the tech industry. I've definitely learned how to thrive in ambiguity and comfortably adapt to any working/management style.⁣ •𝟐 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬: With tremendous support from leadership and HR, I had a life-changing transfer from Japan to Singapore (more to come?).⁣ •𝟐𝟑 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬: Visited multiple offices across 13 countries and connected with amazing Googlers and business partners around the globe (who's up for our next adventure?).⁣ •𝟏𝟎𝐤𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐫: Thanks to Google's focus on employee well-being, I’ve even managed to shed a few pounds (kudos to the Google Food Team for preparing world-class healthy food and the Google gym instructors for pushing me hard!) .⁣ ⁣ There have been ups, downs, and everything in between, but it's been an incredibly fun and rewarding ride.
