For Anyone Feeling Alone Tonight New Year’s Eve can be tough. I know because I’ve been there. When I moved to Sydney at 25, just before NYE 2002, I was surrounded by millions in a sunny beach town—but I felt invisible. That kind of loneliness was painful. I’m feeling it again this year. My wife is recovering from cancer, and tonight, I’m in Houston with my daughters visiting her. I feel a sense of emptiness and isolation as I navigate all the emotions of this season. If you’re feeling that ache tonight, you are not alone. You are seen. You are loved. You matter. Here’s what’s helped me when it feels heavy: • Writing a gratitude list. It doesn’t erase the pain, but it shines a light in the dark. • Pouring myself into my passion. For me, that’s helping women build confidence through investing—seeing their growth gives me purpose. Here’s my gratitude list tonight: ✨ My wife’s resilience—she’s here with us after being given 9 months. ✨ The chance to show up for my girls, every day. ✨ Friends who’ve been my anchors. ✨ Living my purpose: sharing my skillset with women. ✨ My therapist. ✨ My kids’ teachers, who pour so much into them. What’s on your list? Let’s start this new year by lifting each other up. Share yours below or keep it close—but know this: you are not alone. Happy New Year my friend 💛 Carlos Valle Musab Balbale Ash Upadhyaya Donna Marcantonio Merafe Moloto

Andy, I don't know you, you don't know me, but reading your notes from the heart, so deeply felt, drives me to write to you, because within this tragedy of your wife's illness and how you have endured the pain and overcome the fear, doing so public and accessible to others requires great courage and bravery, so much so that not only do I feel solidarity in your sorrows and joy, but they have motivated me to write to you and thank you for doing so, by reading you you have infused me at the same time. strength and you are helping me overcome an existential health crisis as well, of course incomparable with what I have had to live, they are making me face this state of anxiety and panic for not getting a job, something totally minuscule also to your experience, in Finally, I want to send you and your wife a big hug from someone unknown, very distant and insignificant, but you are motivating me to face my near future with another perspective.

Andy, you are not alone my friend. I was on a road trip recently and part of the way there was a storm. I got anxious and stressed, but when the rain stopped, I was fine. Later, I was reminded that whatever “storm” we r going through, it will eventually pass.

Dear Andy, as we step into 2025, I want to acknowledge the immense strength and love you have shown over these months. Life’s challenges, though tough, are an opportunity for us to deepen our clarity, compassion, and connection. May this new year bring you the courage to face each moment with grace and the wisdom to support your wife through her journey. Remember, every moment is precious, and even amidst difficulties, there is space for love, care, and togetherness. Our best wishes and prayers are with both of you. May you find the strength within to turn these trying times into a profound transformation for your inner self. Wishing you and your wife peace and well-being in the days ahead.
