Help ensure your safety by choosing a board certified cosmetic surgeon for your procedure. Unfortunately, the government does not require a surgeon to be specifically trained in the procedures they offer. This problem is most acute in the area of cosmetic surgery, as many doctors with general surgery or other medical training claim the title of cosmetic surgeon in pursuit of greater profits. Patients need a dependable way to know if their surgeon is properly trained & experienced in cosmetic surgery. That’s why the ABCS formed a board exclusively dedicated to cosmetic surgeons’ education, training, and certification! 🌟 We set the highest standards for surgeons in the specialty of cosmetic surgery. This can't be said enough: You need a board-certified plastic surgery when getting a cosmetic procedure. Any medical doctor can legally perform cosmetic surgery, but aesthetic treatments are not always within the scope of their training and education. Plastic surgeons have specific training (and a lot of it). This means you'll get the best results with the fewest risks. (Plus, this saves money. If it's done right the first time, you don't have to spend more to get revisions.) Don't be afraid to ask to see a doctor's board certification. It's the best way to protect yourself. Yet, it's all too often the patient's responsibility to check a doctor's credentials, like board certification. American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) makes it easy for anyone to find a qualified plastic surgeon anywhere with its Find A Surgeon tool at plasticsurgery.org. We've already done the work for you.
🚨 Your safety matters most! 🚨 Did you know that any medical doctor, even outside their expertise, can perform plastic surgery legally? Join us as we unveil the real risks and crucial steps to protect yourself. Keep watching to learn how to ensure your plastic surgeon's qualifications and prioritize your safety. Retweet this to spread awareness! #PatientSafety #BoardCertificationMatters #CareYouDeserve #SafetyFirst #DoYourHomework #ASPS #PlasticSurgery

First things first - you're not alone. Cataracts can be a challenge for most people. But the recovery? Here are some ways to prepare: 1. Ask questions Have a list ready and ask your eye surgeon before surgery day. 2. Stock up on supplies Avoid driving for a few days following surgery. Have eye drops, prescribed meds, and groceries on hand. 3. Follow instructions Sit down and listen when your doctor provides post-surgery instructions. Complications are rare but take them seriously. 4. Rest Avoid anything that may cause you to strain your eyes. Remember, cataract surgery is a safe and effective way to get your eyes back in great visual function, so focus on your recovery and enjoy your newfound vision.
