Big news: I finally did it. For years, people told me, “You should start your own business.” I brushed it off because I didn’t feel ready, know what to do or where to start. I told myself I needed more experience, more knowledge, more something. But the last few years of my career have been a rollercoaster, with ups and downs, pivots, and plenty of lessons. With each turn, I gained more clarity on what I truly wanted and what I didn’t. Last summer, I toyed with the idea of starting my own business. I even bought the domain name for my website and thought, "Maybe one day." But I had a new job lined up, so I told myself to wait. I’d get settled first, then build my website and ease into it. Well… life had other plans. Four months into that new job, the company that urgently hired me laid off about 60 people, including me. I gave myself one day to be frustrated. And then I knew: This was the push I needed. No more waiting. No more hesitating. So, I am excited to announce that AVC Strategies is officially open for business!
