🚀 Excited to share that the UNIDO Regional Conference: "Connecting for Development – Innovating for Impact" will be taking place in Vienna, Austria, from June 3-7, 2024! 🌍💡   Organized by the UNIDO Regional Bureau for Europe and Central Asia, this event aims to foster innovation, sustainability, and climate action through networking and partnerships among European businesses and UNIDO-supported start-ups worldwide. Key participants will include both UNIDO Member States such as Bulgaria, Croatia, and Romania, as well as non-Member States like Estonia, Greece, and Latvia.   One of the key highlights of the event is the Cleantech Days 2024, spearheaded by the UNIDO Global Cleantech Innovation Programme (GCIP) with support from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the Green Climate Fund (GCF). Building on the success of the inaugural Cleantech Days in 2023, this year’s forum will focus on scaling up clean technology start-ups and SMEs from 16 countries. It’s a prime opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase their impactful solutions and connect with businesses, financiers, and investors.   The event will kick off on June 3-4 with thematic discussions and partnership-building activities, followed by dedicated sessions for UNIDO-supported start-ups from June 5-7. These sessions will include solution presentations, pitching, and extensive networking opportunities.   🌟 Panel Discussion 3: Public-Private Development Partnerships on the 4th of June 🌟 One of the key sessions to look forward to is the panel discussion on effective public-private partnerships for global development and the 2030 Agenda. We’re thrilled to have Daniel Dumitrescu, PhD., Chief Innovation Officer at InnovX, as a speaker. His insights will be invaluable in understanding how such partnerships can drive sustainable industrial growth. This joint event is set to be a cornerstone for sustainable industrial growth and global development cooperation. What a series of events! The marathon of trade shows at which Verdikt exhibited has come to an end for this half-year, and it's time to look back on the highlights and share with you what I took away from them. 🌱 GreenTech Forum Brussels: For this occasion, I was invited to speak at conferences alongside Manaelle P. - Wemanity Group, Julien Rouzé - Sopht, Diego Eguidazu - European Patent Office, Tobias Strelow - Lufthansa Group. Articulating our convictions, honed through experience as a former CIO, is crucial. These privileged moments highlight the importance of measurement—persuading with facts and figures, rather than relying solely on best practices, which alone are insufficient for fostering improvement over time. This principle holds particularly true in large organizations, where the need for flexibility surrounds the overall strategic vision over time. The challenge is to provide them with granular country-level assessments and multifaceted reporting across executive, operational, and regulatory tiers—facilitating comprehensive on-site discussions. 🚀 Vivatech: Once again, Verdikt had the chance to participate in the largest trade show dedicated to technology and startups in Europe. This year, the #Women #Entrepreneurs program of Orange, of which I’m a member, earned Verdikt a place in their exhibition space. Amidst the hustle and bustle, we had the privilege of hosting over a hundred meetings. These one-on-one conversations and tours organized by HUB Institute (Digital & Positive Impact accelerator) and Wavestone were brimming with insights. We exchanged ideas with the brilliant minds behind COMEX Orange, Orange Consulting, Orange Innovation, Orange Business as well as representatives from esteemed institutions in the banking, insurance, retail and industry sectors. 📚 CRIP Universities: This year, Sustainable IT was introduced as a new theme at this flagship CRIP event. It was an opportunity for us to pitch alongside all the ecosystem players EasyVirt, Sopht, Agence-e.com, Oxygen IT, and attend numerous plenaries - notably the one by Agnes C., responsible for Sustainable IT at Banque de France, on how to implement eco-design to reduce the footprint of software as well as the one by Frédérique Lefranc, Project manager at My Money Bank, on her insights into how to raise awareness among its users to adopt best IT practices. 🤝 Ready for IT: Held at the renowned Grimaldi Forum Monaco, this event is a staple on the agendas of IT decision-makers. The event was filled with high-quality conferences, most of which delved into cybersecurity matters, as well as topical themes such as startups, IT sustainability and AI.
