To me, a troubling aspect of this Nice Group Linear Emerge device that is seemingly overlooked is that it is a physical security access control device that controls facility doors, Yes, the badge readers many use every day connect to this system. The concern of the unpatched and ignored by vendor #RCE can lead to some craptastic #botnet for sure, but to me the much larger worry should be an attacker can now take over the device and open your facility doors at will.
