“Yet all is not lost. Human beings, while capable of the worst, are also capable of rising above themselves, choosing again what is good, and making a new start.” Thank you Pontifical Academy of Sciences and Professor Jeffrey Sachs for the opportunity to contribute to the lively debate on 'Private Capital and Public Purpose'. Discovering new approaches to the fraternal economy and sustainable development with a group of top ESG experts from Church, civil society, academia, finance and real economy in the heart of breathtaking #vatican is more than I could ever wish for. This was a great gathering that in addition to some seriously deep discourse also included moonlit explorations of the Vatican gardens... all very enjoyable!

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

Aleksandra Schellenberg, it was terrific to meet you in person in Vatican City finally. Your active participation added value to the conversation and left us with ideas to ponder as we continue to think about how private capital is used for public purposes and overall good.
