The AIPLA is desperately seeking volunteers (not Susan) for this weekend's Giles Rich Moot Court Competition. If you can volunteer, please email Elizabeth Cecere of OneTrust at ewedegis@onetrust.com. You will take on the role of an applelate judge and ask questions of the participants. Rounds last about 1 hour with a 30 minute timeframe afterwards for deliberation and feedback. This year's competition features Patent subject matter eligibility (Alice 101) and Trade Secrets issues. You'll be provided with a brief(s) to simplify the issues and provide sample questions. The competition will take place at the U.S. District Courthouse (Richard B. Russell Federal Building), and here is a schedule with an indication of judging needs: AIPLA Moot Court Oral Arguments Schedule: Friday, March 14, 2025 Preliminary Round: 4:00PM - 5:30PM [1 judge needed] Saturday, March 15, 2025 Quarterfinal Round: 9:00AM - 10:30AM [1 judge needed] Quarterfinal Round: 10:30AM - 12:00PM [2 judges needed] Semifinal Round: 1:00 - 2:30PM [3 judges needed] Final Round: 3:00PM-4:30PM [2 judges needed] Thank you all for your support! 1dWish I was still in Atlanta to help, Jerry. I was on the 1st runner-up team for nationals and was best oralist and on the best brief (team) at the NY competition in 1987 (or was it '88, sorry the memory is fading.) I will repost for my Atlanta peeps. Good luck.
