New Rule States Airlines Must Refund Long Flight Delays 1️⃣ Planning on traveling for the holidays? 2️⃣ You'll want to know about the new Department of Transportation rule that just took effect, reshaping how airlines handle refunds. 3️⃣ Here's what it means: Significant delays now have clear definitions: 3+ hours for domestic flights and 6+ hours for international flights automatically trigger refunds. 4️⃣ But that's not all. You're also entitled to automatic refunds for: 🔹🔹 Airport changes 🔹🔹 Added connections 🔹🔹 Downgraded seating 🔹🔹 Non-working paid Wi-Fi 🔹🔹 Delayed baggage (after filing a report) 5️⃣ The best part? No more paperwork or long phone calls. Airlines must now process these refunds automatically. #Travel #Airlines #ConsumerRights #Transportation #TravelTips #ConsumerProtection Source: https://lnkd.in/g6TJaVW8

🚌 🚂 ✈ While most of what I do relates to the food and retail sectors, many of the challenges and strategies to respond are equally applicable across other consumer-facing industries. Take 'value' - from reshaping pricing and product ranges to deal with higher costs and more varied competitor models, to reassessing & refining the role of promotions and loyalty schemes to drive specific customer behaviours, to unlocking wider revenue streams linked to retail media, the parallels are striking. Together with couple of colleagues we've written a short piece on how this looks for the transport sector, here.
