𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰! Wrapping up the year in style, we have to admit that this year brought fashion and lifestyle trends that we would not have expected just two years ago: 🍸 Mob wife, 👕 blokecore, 🍒 brat summer, 🩰 balletcore, 💗 pop princess, 📚 rorycore, 💎 old money style, and 🤍 demure fashion all had their moment. We listen and we don't judge! 🌼 Butter yellow, 🍷 dark red, and ☕ espresso brown set the tone, leaving Barbie pink behind. Speaking of highlights, 2024 was bold – and not just in style. We celebrated with unforgettable and spectacular #fashiontainment events, such as the ABOUT YOU Fashion Circus in partnership with Circus-Theater Roncalli in Berlin, the ABOUT YOU Pangea Festival in Pütnitz am See, and the ABOUT YOU After Shows. We loved creating exclusive celebrity brands and collections. Of course, we continued to collaborate with industry leaders across sports, film, music, and social media. And we did not stop there, new #celebritycollections included: CITA MAASS co-created by ABOUT YOU, ABOJ ADEJ with multitalent Tedros 'Teddy' Teclebrhan, noar studios co-created by ABOUT YOU with content creator Luisa Lion, Cheyenne Ochsenknecht co-created by ABOUT YOU, sry dad. co-created by ABOUT YOU with content creator Maddy, MYLAVIE co-created by ABOUT YOU with Sarah Harrison, KAVAZI co-created by ABOUT YOU with actress Chryssanthi Kavazi, Netflix Collection, and VERSTIQUE by Denise Verst. As we look back on a memorable year, we wish to sincerely thank our customers, brand partners, and suppliers for your collaboration and trust in 2024. It's all ABOUT YOU, and it's only possible with you. We wish you a bright year ahead! For 2025, there is a lot we look forward to. #wrapped #thankyou #fashiontrends #yearinreview

There’s something the Fashion industry could learn from the Film industry. Something the film (and television) industry has chosen to do for as long as the industry has existed. (to be fair, I’m guessing on that last point, but I'm sure we can agree it's been a long time.) Credits. Some of my friends work in the film and television industry, and whenever we’ve gone to the cinema (or movie theatre), at the end of the film, when most people begin to leave, my friends often want to watch the credits roll. It’s not just an ‘industry’ thing, I like to too. I like to see their name in ‘lights’ - if only for a brief moment. Likewise when one of their shows is on tv at home. The long list is there, partly out of curiosity, but I think it’s also out of respect, and a sense of pride. “All these people believed in the show, and we trusted in them to make it.” Having your name attached to something brings a sense of responsibility, which works both ways. In the end credits to one of the Star Wars films, over a 1000 people are credited for working on various aspects of the film. You could even look their names up and get in contact with them to ask them questions about their experience. (Transparency?) Maybe fashion brands could choose to do the same, The number of people credited isn’t the issue, the choice to do so is. I created my own, and have it towards the end of one of my websites. https://anthonystoker.com/ Credit; I started writing this post in April, while journaling, in response to an article/post about the dark side of fashion’s production and consumption. A more recent post by Jonathan Mitchell on a linked theme reminded me to revisit my thoughts. https://lnkd.in/e9cbgBen #leadership #marketing #creativity #design

Ever considered launching a business to make a real difference in the world? Take Coco Chanel, a visionary entrepreneur who revolutionised the fashion industry with her iconic brand. Beyond creating timeless designs, Chanel challenged societal norms and empowered women through fashion. Similarly, Spanx, founded by Sara Blakely, disrupted the fashion and beauty landscape by empowering women of all shapes and sizes. And I wouldn't be myself if I didn't mention music. Just take a look at this crowd of 130k people (!) during last year's Download Festival. Those bands' impact on their fans goes without saying! But the greatest news is that we don't need to be Coco, Sara, or Amy Lee (from Evanescence) to make a difference in the world. We can use our platforms and creativity to uplift, empower, motivate, inspire and support. Whether it's promoting diversity, sustainability, or living on our terms by using business as a vehicle towards our dreams, you and I can be a catalyst for positive social transformation. BTW: Tomorrow, Bournemouth Ladies Who Latte gather for our monthly networking meeting. I started this group last summer because I believe in the power of connecting people. Plus I save the world in my own way - creatively - one design at a time How about you? #business #marketing #MakeADifference

Interesting to see how the impact of a well-built image in a celebrity can give these results.
As magazine covers and editorials have become less important for brands, press tours have begun to fill the void. In just four weeks, Zendaya’s “Challengers” fashion drove $8.8 million in media impact value (a measure of buzz across media from performance measurement firm Launchmetrics) for Loewe. Wearing an outfit inspired by a film has seen a particular burst in popularity recently, though it’s not an entirely new trend. The idea has roots in the old Hollywood studio system, where stars were dressed to match who they played on screen as part of the movie promotion machine, said Avery Trufelman, fashion historian and podcast host. Now, she said there are more stakeholders, but the effect is the same: provide entertainment and build a fantasy. Read the full story on what makes a red carpet moment in 2024. https://bit.ly/3WkUY54 #Zendaya #Challengers

the importance of studying. 📚 True power comes from inside. 👸 The more you study, the more you read, the more you learn different parts of the brain light up, and what was in the dark is now illuminated by beauty, you begin to see the truth. Although I must clarify, not everything is beauty, this’s where creativity comes to the big picture, our job is to transform darkness into light. 💡 #GisselleGomez #linkedln #fashion #love #visualstorytelling #growth #branding #fashionbranding #creative

The last few weeks have been intense. I’ve been deeply immersed in writing a video script, and yesterday, we recorded it. This project has the potential to shake the very foundations of the fashion industry and Hollywood. Together with Nathalie Augustina—a former top model from the 80s and 90s—and a dedicated team, we’ve uncovered truths that the world needs to hear. As someone who worked as a fashion model myself, I’ve seen firsthand the dark side of these industries. Beneath the glitz and glamour lies a dangerous world, rife with scandal, exploitation, and abuse. Our upcoming video will expose shocking truths about some of the most famous brands and individuals in the world. It’s time to uncover how deeply intertwined the fashion industry and Hollywood are—not just in creating trends, but in perpetuating a system where power, money, and exploitation go hand in hand. We’re not afraid to address uncomfortable truths. From the exploitation of models to the silencing of those who dare to speak out, this video will shed light on what really happens behind closed doors. I’ve experienced this darkness myself—booked for jobs that weren’t what they seemed, drugged, and placed in dangerous situations. While I was lucky to escape relatively unscathed, many others haven’t been. On January 20th, we’ll release this video. It will make people angry. It will challenge perceptions. But the truth must be told. The MeToo movement was just the beginning. There is so much more that needs to be revealed about the industries we idolize. It’s time to hold those in power accountable. Stay tuned.

It’s 2025, and you’re stepping into a year full of exciting opportunities. ✨ But here’s a little secret: your goals aren’t just about what you do—they’re about how you show up.
