Two things can be true: if you believe climate change may tilt geopolitical and economic conditions into the red zone in the coming decades, Kamala Harris is your climate candidate. Also true: some of the campaign’s economic positions are… not great. Taxes on unrealized capital gains would unwind the innovation ecosystem, a bedrock of our economy and a tool necessary to address our climate challenges. But let’s be real: capital gains on unrealized appreciation and unsound economic policy like price caps on groceries are not going to happen. What is 💯 happening? Climate change. Well said Abe!
‘But let’s be real: capital gains on unrealized appreciation and unsound economic policy like price caps on groceries are not going to happen.’ lol, what are you trying to say? => The position of the Democratic nominee is so out of this world, that it’s not even probable to happen? Isn’t that like, scary? 🤔
I’m there. Important cause.
See you there!
Nailed it
Completely agree, the unrealized capital gains tax idea is just shock and awe tactics to get clicks and traction on messaging that shows politicians going after VC and social media platforms that they believe have become too powerful.
I'm in! See you there.
💯
Well said, and great perspective. Thanks Abe Yokell

6moAbsolutely Abe, but what is the logic of her/them proposing these ridiculous economic policies? These policies would be economicly catastrophic but fortunately would never get through both houses of congress. So it makes you wonder, why someone in the room didn't raised their hand and say, excuse me, Madam Vice President, that's a really bad idea.
