As a kid, I never thought I’d end up working in wastewater, let alone making a movie — but life has a way of surprising you when you scrap the plan and follow the journey! Additionally, getting to build a company with my dad and make a film with my mom has been an unexpected and incredible adventure. Two weeks ago, we had the U.S. premiere of Among Neighbors at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. This week, we brought the film home to the Bay Area for SF Indie Fest — where it won the Audience Award for Best Documentary Feature! The film tells the story of the Holocaust through the lens of my family’s small Polish hometown, a place that saw both the best and worst of humanity. In today’s world, the lessons from this history feel more important than ever. Grateful for the opportunity to share this story—and for the incredible team that helped bring it to life.
So incredible to see all that you have and continue to accomplish! Sometimes the unexpected turns are better than we could have imagined.
