Using open source firewalls
- [Malcolm] The idea that establishing a hard perimeter around a set of on-premise servers is the full answer to cyber defense is no longer viable as software-as-a-service and cloud-based services and work-from-home and on-the-go mobile applications have taken business information and processing into the wider world. Nevertheless, firewalls continue to be part of the overall set of cyber defenses for a business, protecting not only the remaining on-premise equipment, but also being a key component of the emerging zero-trust network architectures for providing micro-segmentation. I'm Malcolm Shore, and I've spent a career helping government and businesses protect their systems. I'd like to invite you to take this course and learn how we can install and use open-source firewall solutions to provide effective cyber defense without breaking the bank.
