- George Bernard Shaw once said, "That progress is impossible without change." And today's continuous improvement business climate, I think we can all agree with this. Lean embraces the ability to constantly change as a key ingredient of corporate culture which is each company's own way of doing things and solving problems. But change does not just happen. It must be managed and established in a Lean culture must be managed from the very top of the organization. Change management is a very broad term used to describe all the approaches and tools used to redirect people and resources. When implementing a significant change, like building a Lean culture, the program must be initiated, supported and managed by the leaders of the company.
