From the course: How to Batch Create Content Using Canva

Planning your content

Planning your content. Creators are often experts at many things, but it's important that your audience sees you as an expert in a specific niche. One way that you can do that is dividing your content into categories. These categories are called content pillars. The easiest way to identify your content pillars is to look at 3 to 4 of your most profitable offers and create the pillar. For example, if you've got a course called attracting clients on LinkedIn, that's your profitable offer. Your pillar would be linked in marketing. Now, once you've decided on all of your content pillars, you'll take a deeper dive into your content topics. For example, if your pillar is LinkedIn marketing, your topics might be profile optimization, LinkedIn groups, engaging content or creative commenting. If your pillar is Canva design, your topics might be t-shirt designs, font bundles, digital products, tips, and tricks. Now, we do recommend a maximum of four pillars. This will help you keep your content concise and focus. Now let's take a moment to write down your three top offers and your content pillars based on your offers, and then make a list of four topics for each pillar. In the next lesson, we'll cover content focus. See you there.
