Using mood boards
From the course: Designing a Presentation
Using mood boards
- Mood boards are something that can help to build your audience connection and inform your design decisions at an early stage. These are used regularly by many different disciplines of design and can be created digitally, physically, or, if you want, both. Mood boards typically include images, magazines, clippings from magazines, websites, graphics, colors, and typography. Anything that is a characteristic of your audience can be included. Look for patterns as well as similarities and contrasts in the materials you collect. The process doesn't have to take too long. You'll find that a theme emerges fairly quickly, and mood boards are indeed a very useful tool in helping to determine the look and feel of your presentation for your audience.
