From the course: Building a Privacy Program in the Age of GenAI

What privacy means in the age of GenAI

- It feels like every post on LinkedIn these days has three parts: a noun, a verb, and the word gen AI. But what about privacy in this age of gen AI? We're living through an age of dramatic change. We have seen other shifts, but this one feels different. Previous evolutions that come to mind include the following: intel shift from memory to processors in the 1980s, the internet revolution of the 1990s, the mobile computing, global identity, and social media era as it began in the early-2000s. And finally, the cloud computing chapter that began in the early 2010s. It's deploying human insight to build technology, which will then change human life in ways we are yet to imagine. Given these stakes, the privacy from gen AI says that no regulation law can foresee them, let alone forestall them. The risks and opportunities are huge. How do we respect our consumer's identities, healthcare choices, personal preferences? How do we catch bias and consent gaps, provide for physical safety, and do all of this with the efficiency Wall Street demands? This course will show you how. Are you ready? I am. Let's go.
