Great news for operators! A more rational CBRS DPA activation methodology has been approved. This will ensure more uptime for broadband fixed wireless providers because channel grants will not be suspended as often. Though there are 15 possible CBRS channels losing one or more does not guarantee that an operator can easily get a replacement or a replacement channel adjacent to other channels. Adjacency is required by many smaller radio vendors to concatenate channels that enable effective broadband speeds and it helps even the efficiency of larger vendors. For those using GAA because they have no PALs or are supplementing their PAL bandwidth with GAA, losing channels forces more users on the remaining GAA channels and thus, interference. This act proves that spectrum sharing is viable and not detrimental to incumbents when deployed with reasonable controls.

If you have not read this paper from 2021 by Caroline Gabriel with Analysys Mason please do. It outlines (predicts) what is NEXT for in-building wireless and is exciting and coming in the next 5 years. To be fair much of the tech will need to be developed to accomplish it but it's all attainable (challenges in the areas of sync, antennas, server capacity, etc.). Most importantly read the part about cell splitting with neighbor cells. This move may lead to the development of new technologies and services utilizing the Terahertz range, such as vehicle radars that significantly enhance road safety. Vague, but also interesting. I've long been a fan of autonomous wireless mesh due to its improved redundancy and reliability vs (any flavor) of wireline Internet. There have been many failed attempts at wireless mesh technology and related business models in the past. I hope that Adrena can learn from their experiences and build a better mousetrap. One of the areas we have been exploring at MFF is the impact of synchronous s-curves and how that shapes the tech ecosystem and global economy. Since our paper on the topic during the last decade, we have quantified this impact and studied the intersection of the synchronous Quantumverse technologies. This year, there are new use cases to discuss, new data to ponder on, and new conversations to be had. While I agree with most of this article by CBRE, I believe it forget the benefits of an indoor small cell neutral host solution (connectivity as a service) like Proptivity! Way more 5G and 4G capacity if needed but still scalable from same cost levels as a traditional DAS, if very basic connectivity is target. #real5g #indoorcoverage #neutralhost #5g #4g #capacity

If the reports are accurate, development is progressing rapidly. Given that Loongson's third-generation processors are reportedly capable of competing with Intel's Raptor Lake CPUs from the 13th and 14th generations, it's logical to assume that their fourth-generation chips could potentially match or exceed the performance of AMD's Zen 5 architecture and Intel's Arrow Lake processors. We're discussing 7nm chips, which were once considered unattainable in the near future. Not long ago, it was asserted that China's semiconductor industry lags behind global advancements by approximately five generations, and this gap is expected to widen further.
