Yaw Owusu-Boahen

Ajuma is a nonprofit that prepares Black & Latinx undergrads for business careers in technology. I co-founded the organization with my brother Nana and have received support from Yale's entrepreneurial ecosystem as well as other partner organizations. Other than generating educational content, ajuma hosts aspire, an annual 4 week career prep program designed to introduce students to product management and marketing.

As a product management intern for Glassdoor, I led a project to create a page within the Glassdoor platform called "Company Bowl Lite." Company Bowls are forums where users can participate in anonymous discussions with their coworkers, but they are exclusive to current employees. Company Bowl Lite is the view of the company bowl that a user sees before they validate their work email and are allowed to join their company bowl. In this paper, I argue that natural resources can drive development rather than destroy emerging market governments. I propose measures for the Ghanaian government to leverage oil revenues into targeted infrastructure spending to drive development. I analyzed 4 large data sets, conducted primary source interviews with 11 Ghanaian officials and policy experts to produce this 125 page addition to resource curse literature
