There is no mention of the state of technical support for these devices. FPGAs are utilized by a relatively small number of people and that makes finding a support offering very challenging due to the economics of providing such support. Increasing device complexity makes the support channel of prime importance -- more so than the process node, serdes speed or number of embedded CPUs. Without good support, even trivial implementations can run into challenges that add unwanted multi-month schedule delays.

As data centers must support the increase of AI/ML processing, there is a heightened need for speed, bandwidth, power and performance. While photonic integrated circuits are playing a critical role in supporting this transition, the relationship between AI/ML and PICs are actually helping advance innovation of both technologies. #QPM2239 High-Power Ku-Band Amplifier Qorvo's QPM2239 is a packaged, high-power Ku-band amplifier module fabricated on Qorvo’s production 0.15 um GaN on SiC process (QGaN15). Covering 13 – 15.5 GHz, the QPM2239 provides 80 W of saturated output power and 29 dB of small-signal gain while achieving > 25% power-added efficiency. The QPM2239 is packaged in a 10-lead 19.05 x 19.05 mm bolt-down package with a Cu base for superior thermal management. It can support a variety of operating conditions to best support system requirements. With good thermal properties, it can help a range of bias voltages and will perform well under CW operation. the capacitor makes this circuit a low pass filter, as the author suggested the then reduces noise but even if one doesn't necessarily need a low pass filter, it improves phase margin of the feedback configuration (or is high pass in feedback) - very useful for marginally stable designs

#HBM4 set to land sooner than expected 💡 Suppliers and JEDEC are bringing their HBM4 plans forward as they suspect the forecasted Gen #AI boom means incoming NVIDIA GPUs will need it sooner. High bandwidth memory (#HBM) bypasses #X86 socket-connected #DRAM capacity and bandwidth limits by having #memory dies stacked on top of a logic layer, with interconnecting TSV channels, all linked to a #GPU via an interposer component providing higher bandwidth than X86 sockets. The Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC) confirms and issues HBM standards, with the current one being its fifth, HBM3E (extended). JEDEC has said it will issue a completed HBM4 spec by the end of this year – just few months ago the schedule was for a 2025 delivery. Preliminary HBM4 characteristics are emerging already.
