📉 Discrete #GPU Sales Decline as #Nvidia Maintains Market Leadership, While iGPUs Rise 📈 Jon Peddie Research reports that third-quarter GPU shipments increased both year-over-year (YoY) and quarter-over-quarter (QoQ), with integrated GPUs (iGPUs) leading the growth. Discrete GPUs (dGPUs), however, saw a decline as #AMD and Nvidia prepared new offerings. -73.6 million iGPUs and dGPUs were shipped, with overall GPU shipments up 3.4% QoQ and 2.4% YoY. -Notebooks saw a 5.9% increase in GPU shipments, while desktop graphics dropped by 5.6%. -CPU shipments rose 12% QoQ and 7.8% YoY, driven by strong demand for integrated graphics in processors. AMD outperformed Intel, with a 15% increase in CPU shipments, while Intel saw a 12% decline. Market share breakdown: -#Intel led the overall GPU market with 65%, followed by Nvidia at 18% and AMD at 17%. -Nvidia’s market share dipped by 1.9%, while Intel and AMD saw slight increases of 1.1% and 0.8%, respectively. Amazing projections for the NFC industry. Even though NFC has been around for over 20 years, and its growth has been slow but steady, this report describes the tremendous new revenue potentials in just the ticketing segment of the NFC market. The summary focuses on public transport and only mentions event ticketing in passing. Hopefully the full report dives deeper into the event ticketing segment.
