On 1st December 2016 at around 3.00 pm in the afternoon shares of Berkshire Hathaway hit $ 240,000.00/share for the first time which is a new lifetime high for the company that is ranked 4th on fortune 500 list. Its stock price makes Berkshire Hathaway one of costliest stock available to buy. But amidst all these, there are serious doubts whether Berkshire Hathaway could maintain their high valuations with sustainable growth? Berkshire Hathaway has been one of biggest investor in Wells Fargo and due to the recent scandal that was uncovered at Wells Fargo seriously doubts their senses. Moreover, increasing unused cash pile on the books of Berkshire Hathaway without proper investments is also raising concerns. Some other reasons for people to doubt the valuations are recent elections in the United States of America, that selected Donald J. Trump as their president-elect who is not in great terms with Warren Buffet, owner and brain behind Berkshire Hathaway particularly because of the views of new president-elect on trade policies that in reality concerns the world growth. Also, there are global uncertainties and potent threat of another recession due to economic concerns in China and other emerging economies. The arguments and research presented in this paper will confirm that though Berkshire Hathaway faces many uncertainties and headwinds but eventually it would maintain its valuation with sustainable growth and any considerable dip the share price would be an opportunity to buy the shares.

CareGroup was formed by a three-way merger between Beth Israel, Deaconess, and Mount Auburn Hospitals. The establishment of this group enabled a network to be set up for all information needs between these hospitals.

The presented case is about the mismanagement and negligence of CareGroup’s information systems that eventually resulted in the complete collapse of its digital systems. A sequence of failures occurred, triggered by a rogue program that ran the entire bandwidth of the system and caused consequential failures because the underlying system had multiple faults that made it incapable of supporting its own backup procedures.

CareGroup IT was unable to resolve the issue so they called in Cisco’s advanced engineering services. Cisco assembled an elite team with the resources to reestablish an entire core system. While the system was in recovery, CareGroup’s hospitals were able to effectively run on a paper system. When Cisco’s team eventually resolve all hardware and software issues, CareGroup’s CIO reflected on the events and implemented hard learned lessons. Show less
