A Single Arm, Single Camera System For Automated Suturing
ICRA 2013: Anthropomatics – Technologies for Humans
A novel single arm, single camera solution for automated suturing, employing a standard laparoscopic tool and monocular pose measurement techniques to guide a curved suture needle through tissue. Implementation results indicate good depth resolution (1.5mm) and good task repeatability (85%) for a variety of consistency, lighting, and location variation scenarios.

SYMBIS Surgical Robot
-
SYMBIS was designed to be an MRI Conditionally Safe robotic system for image-guided table- or cart-based minimally-invasive surgical operations. It consisted of a surgeon console with 6-DOF hand-controllers and a touchscreen interface communicating with a motion-controller and safety modules, and sending commands to the 7-DOF robotic arms, capable of 6-DOF positioning plus tool roll and tool actuation.
